AMP creates History, gets Jobs for 1000+ Youths

AMP creates History by helping 1000+ Candidates get spot Jobs and 3500+ Candidates shortlisted in 2 simultaneous Mega Job Fairs.

Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) organized 2 Mega Job Fairs simultaneously in Kolkata, W. B. & Nellore, A. P., on Sat., 2nd Feb, 2019 in association with the respective State Minorities Finance Corporations, which were a huge success. In Kolkata due to the unprecedented response from Candidates, the Job Fair was held in two phases on 2nd Feb and 5th Feb., so that the Candidates as well as Corporates could benefit suitably.

The Job Fairs were conducted at Park Circus Maidan, Kolkata and Sarvodaya College, Nellore to help unemployed youths to get placed in reputed Corporates and to provide opportunities to the needy without any discrimination of caste, community and creed. While the Job Fair in Kolkata was in direct association with West Bengal Minorities Finance Development Corporation (WBMFDC), the one in Nellore was organised in association with United Muslim Minorities Federation (UMF) and was supported by Andhra Pradesh State Minorities Finance Corporation (APSMFC).

95+ Corporates and HR Consultants across various industries participated in these Job Fairs with a turnout of more than 10,000 Candidates. Finally, 1000+ candidates were given on-the-spot offers by the recruiters while 3500+ were shortlisted for the next round of selection.

Dr. P.B. Salim, IAS & Chairman - WBMDFC, said “Organising this Job Fair is our small way of contributing for Nation Building. By helping unemployed youths get jobs, we help in societal development and thus development of the Nation. We received nearly 10,000 online registrations. We are very happy to conduct this Job Fair with AMP to provide livelihood to many people across Kolkata. We look forward conducting more such Job Fairs in the coming days in association with AMP”.

Mr. Abdul Aziz Shaikh, Mayor, Nellore Municipal Corporation (NMC) who inaugurated the Job Fair, said “It is a matter of great pride organizing this Job Fair. However, this fair is not just for Minorities or non-minorities but it is for the talented candidates who can get the endorsement from the Corporates present here and get Jobs from them. It is the efforts put in by the Candidates and not just the result which will take them far. We appreciate UMF who partnered with AMP in taking their vision further along with APSMFC for organising this Job Fair and helping our youth in Nellore get gainful employment and thus helping in Nation Building.”

Mr. Aamir Edresy, President, AMP who was present at Nellore, spoke on the occasion and said “In the current situation, although the Job scenario is not very bright, we partnered with UMF to help the local youth in Nellore. If you have proper talent and caliber, you will be able to get jobs. We hope this Job Fair will be the right platform for the youth in Nellore to transform their lives for the better and contribute to India’s growth story”.

Mr. Mohammed Rafee Shaikh, State President, UMF, who welcomed the dignitaries and the candidates at the Job Fair mentioned “Organising this Job Fair was a small way of giving back to the society and helping our youth who have been struggling to get jobs as the job market is not very rosy. As an Organisation dedicated to the upliftment of Minorities we approached APSMFC for supporting us in this endeavour, who readily agreed. With AMP’s help and expertise, we organised this Job Fair so that youths irrespective of caste and community can take advantage and get jobs with well-known Corporates.”

Mr. Abdul Razak Shaikh, Head - AMP Projects said, “AMP has so far organized 30+ Mega Job Fairs till date and 250+ of Job Drives in the last 7 years and helped placing more than 15,000 candidates during these initiatives across more than 95 AMP Chapters all over the Country. We aim to place 5000+ candidates through AMP Job Fairs & Job Drives in 2019”.

Mr. Iftekhar Shaikh, Head – AMP Employment Assistance Cell (EAC) said “We try our best to give the right opportunities to the youth through entry and middle level jobs so that they become independent and support their families. Once they get some good work experience, they make their careers and are set for life”.

The events were a result of dedication and hard work of AMP’s Kolkata and Hyderabad Chapter Team Members. The event in Kolkata was backed by very strong support from Mr. Mohammed Naqui, G. M., WBMFDC and Mr. Mohammed Moniruzzaman, OSD-WBMFDC and the entire team of volunteers from AMP and WBMDFC.

In Nellore, Mr. Narayana Garu, E. D., APSMFC and Mr. Sk. Abdul Khayyum, Dist. Manager, A. P. State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) supported AMP & UMF teams, who worked tirelessly to make the Job Fair a big success.  Valuable guidance and backend support was provided by AMP Central Team.
