AMP HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP - 2024

Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) invites applications for its Higher Scholarship Assistance for the Year 2024.

With the noble intention of helping needy Muslim students, AMP introduced the AMP Scholarship Fund in 2013. The purpose of this fund is to provide financial assistance to genuinely needy Muslim students for Higher & Technical Education.

300+ meritorious & needy students will be awarded a minimum of Rs. 10,000/- as a scholarship for their studies after due verification. The students will be shortlisted based on the credentials submitted by them and evaluated by the AMP Team.

Eligibility Criteria:
1. This scholarship is open to students from economically disadvantaged families pursuing higher professional education.
2. Students must be eligible to receive Zakat under Sharia guidelines.
3. Students should have passed at least Class 12th or equivalent from any Board.
4. Preference will be given to students pursuing higher education in professional disciplines such as Medical, Engineering, Law, Journalism etc., with special preference for top universities or colleges in India like IITs, IIMs, IISC, GLC, and others recognized by UGC/AICTE.
5. The scholarship also covers technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes/Industrial Training Centers affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) for classes at the graduation level.
6. Disbursal will be done only through cheques/online payments to the respective institutions. No cash disbursal will be entertained.

Documents Required:
1. Passing certificates/mark sheets of 10th & 12th Standard or equivalent.
2. All previous year’s mark sheets of the professional course (for candidates already enrolled in the middle of the course).
3. Copy of Photo & Address Proof (preferably Aadhar Card) or (PAN Card/Ration Card).
4. College Fees Structure.
5. College bank account details.

Process for Application:
1. Scholarship applications will be filled as a ‘Cause’ on the IndiaZakat.com portal (www.indiazakat.com) by the needy students.
2. These causes will be promoted by IndiaZakat amongst its donors as well as on social media.
3. Needy students will, inshaAllah, have further chances of getting more funds through crowdfunding of their causes on the IndiaZakat platform other than the AMP Scholarship Fund.
4. Background verification will be done by local AMP Chapters.
5. Please note, the cause approval on IndiaZakat.com doesn't guarantee the scholarship or funds from donors.

How to Apply:
1. Register by logging in to the portal www.IndiaZakat.com
2. Click on the “Raise a Cause” button at the top right of the home page.
3. There are 5 tabs in the “Raise a Cause form.” You need to fill all five tabs to successfully raise the cause.
4. In the section Choose Category, please select Scholarship from the dropdown menu.
5. No hard copy application will be accepted.
