Adopt an Orphan

Adopt an Orphan or Poor Child
Gift a Life of Dignity and Hope!

Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said: “Myself and the caretaker of an Orphan will be in paradise like this”, and he held his two fingers together. Subhan Allah!

All children need to grow up in an environment that supports their educational, mental, physical, psychological, social and emotional development. We at AMP have understood this and thus have been supporting them through AMP Zakat Fund for their basic education for the last almost 10 years now through our ‘Support Orphans’ Basic Education’ initiative.

What AMP has realised is that, it’s not only Orphans who face challenges, but even the students coming from extremely poor background face issues. Finance is always an issue for these kids whether to fund their education or for having 2 square meals a day. We need to look at their condition from a long-term perspective and build an association with them until they are fully ready to go out in the world fully equipped with education and skills. Going further, in order to make our initiative more effective and to reach out to more and more Orphans and Poor kids, AMP has decided to launch a special project – ‘Adopt an Orphan or Poor Student – Change a Life’

The mission of this project is to bring positive change in the lives of maximum Orphans and Poor children across the Country. We request your support to this special AMP Project, so this often-neglected section of our society is protected and supported.

GIFT A LIFE OF DIGNITY AND HOPE TO ORPHANS & POOR:
Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) through this Project will support needy Orphans & Poor kids throughout India. The goal is to identify poor and orphans who do not have a source of sustained income to support their education and other basic needs. Many of these children are not included in any socio-welfare programs of the local government/ municipalities/community schemes. They are even unable to manage their day-to-day expenses, forget other important expenses like Education & Skill Training, which can change the course of their life.

The main objective of this Project is to provide them means to bear these expenses partially or fully through a sustained sponsorship from a dedicated Donor so that they get a helping hand on their shoulders filled with love and sympathy on a regular basis.

We want these Children to join the national mainstream and lead their life as per all opportunities available to others and fulfill their dreams.

Select one or more children from the list and donate as per your capacity depending on the age of the child and requirement. The donation can even be broken down on the following basis:

1. Annual basis:

  • Donate/Contribute Rs. 15,000 per Child for a complete year

OR

2. Quarterly basis:

You can donate in the following way;

  • Select an Orphan from the list provided above
  • Donate by clicking on the ‘Donate Button’ at the top of this page

NOTE:
Once you make the donation, please inform our team at info@indiazakat.com with selected Orphan details and we will map the donor with the selected Orphan/s.

HOW IT WORKS:

?1. Orphans/Poor children are on-boarded through referrals from;

- Schools, Colleges, Madrasas and other institutions
- AMP Network or Local/Community members
- Other referrals
Each Orphan/Poor child that is on-boarded to the project is thoroughly verified
through the respective AMP Chapter team.
2. Parallelly, new donors will be on-boarded to the project by means of word-of-mouth, marketing through social media, AMP events, portals, and all possible means to spread the word about this project.
3. Orphans/Poor children will be matched to their respective Donor/s, if the Donor/s chooses to donate/contribute for a complete year or more.
4. In case, there are no Donors available and we have no extra funds available, we will put the child in the waiting list and make the donor-child-match when the next Donor is on-boarded.
5. On a periodic basis, we will send reminders to all Donor/s on their sponsorship due amounts via call, email/SMS/messaging
6. When the donated amount reaches the child, our team member will immediately inform the donor confirming the same.
7. We will also keep them updating their Growth and Progress Report.
8. On a timely basis, we will publish the Project Reports so that the donor is well informed and the transparency is maintained.
9. At times a Donor may want to reduce/increase the number of children sponsored or the amount to be donated, which will be facilitated by our team.

OBJECTIVES:

  1. The goal is to maintain zero waiting list for Children and Donors - i.e., continuous on-boarding of children as well as donors.
  2. We plan to run this program in multiple regions/states of India, onboarding more Children and Donors parallelly.
  3. To maintain 100% transparency with Donors

INNOVATIVE APPROACH:

  1. Freedom for Donors to connect with Orphan/Poor child directly based on the level of sponsorship selected, choice of Children’s location and background.
  2. Vetting of Orphan/Poor Child through AMP Chapter Team/Volunteers in 200+ cities.
