“Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) organizes another eventful Job Fair at Bandra West in association with Shadaab & Fabiha Patel Charitable Trust.”

Continuing its noble cause of helping the society and the community move strongly towards Economic & Social Empowerment, Association of Muslim Professional’s (AMP) organized the very first Job Fair of the year 2016 atBandra (West). This Job Fair was conducted in association with Shadaab & Fabiha Patel Charitable Trust.

Around 3000 job aspirants from across Mumbai attended this full-day event which provided them the rare opportunity to directly connect with potential employers and demonstrate their skills to them in a one-on-one manner.

The event was inaugurated by renowned Scholar and Religious Leader Hazrat Moin Miyan Sahaab who was pleased with this event. Conveying his blessings Hazrat Moin Miya said, “This is a great work AMP is doing for the community and a great service towards mankind. May The Almighty Bless them to remain steadfast in their service towards society.” He further extended his Blessings to all the participants and job aspirants wishing them a good career and a great future ahead.

Known Politician and Social Worker Ms.Shaina NC who was also present for the inauguration was also very impressed with the proceedings. Addressing the participants Ms.Shaina NC said, “I am overwhelmed to see the job aspirants over here. People talk about building the future of the country and you people are the future of our country. I am sure each of you has a good role to play in nation building. I appreciate the role of AMP Team and Fabiha Patel for having organized such a wonderful event”

Mr. Leslie Lewis, renowned musician, Mr.Nasir Pathan, well-known Social figure, also attended the event were also quite impressed and appreciated the work of AMP and ‘Shadaab & Fabiha Patel Charitable Trust’.

Mr. Shadaab Patel of ‘Shadaab & Fabiha Patel Charitable Trust’ said, “We are grateful to The Almighty that He has provided us with an opportunity to serve the society. AMP has been doing a great job on the social arena and we are proud to have partnered with them for this noble cause. I am sure there has not been any such Job Fair ever conducted in Bandra West at such a scale”

Ms.Fabiha Patel said, “True to our motto ‘Service to Mankind is Service to God’ we our happy that this Job Fair is a great opportunity for us to serve the society. It was overwhelming to see thousands of job aspirants come and get benefitted. We are glad that we could partner with a dynamic organization such as AMP which has been doing commendable work in the social arena. We are very impressed with most of their projects such as Career Guidance through Skills Development Lectures, JobAssistance, Mentorship programs, Scholarships, etc. I am sure in future we would  partner with AMP in many more such events and extend our services to the community and the society.”

Mr. Aamir Idrisi, President AMP, said, “The response for this event has been very overwhelming just as it has been during the earlier Job Fairs. More than 3000 people attended the Job fair in the hope of finding the ideal job which would fit their qualifications and personal requirements. It is with immense pleasure we say that true to our call of being the catalyst of change for the better, we could extend our humble services to these job aspirants. It was all possible because of the selfless and meticulous teamwork of members from AMP and Shadaab & Fabiha Patel”

The jobs offered by companies participating in the Job Fair included those from Sales, Finance,  Marketing, Accounting, Back-office and included companies from Banking, Telecom, Finance, BPO’s, International Consultants, Consumer Goods, such as HDFC Bank, Asian Paints, Hinduja Global Solutions, F.Gheewala Consultants, Reliance Communications, Bajaj Capital, Skills Soft Overseas, Ion Exchange, Tata Group company, etc.

The recruiters when contacted also conveyed that they were indeed very pleased with the way the event has been organized and conducted and the quality of the candidates whom they interacted with. This Job Fair gave a chance to the candidates to demonstrate their eligibility for vacancies in Sales, Marketing, Back office, Admin and other departments of prestigious firms and get access to different openings at one single location.

At the end of the day around 600 candidates were given on-the-spot offers by recruiters while approximately 1500 were shortlisted for further evaluation.

AMP has repeatedly stated that the Indian Youth have a lot of potential and are very skilled, however due to the extremely competitive and difficult market scenario, many a times they are not able to connect to the right industry. Such events are therefore needed on a regular basis to give these people a fair platform to demonstrate their skills and prove their potential. AMP has been offering its services to the community since more than eight years in the field of  Education, Career Guidance & Job Assistance.
