Many unemployed youth in Kolkata greatly benefit through WBMDFC organised mega Job Fair in association with ASSOCIATION OF MUSLIM PROFESSIONALS (AMP)!

West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (WBMDFC), organized a mega Job Fair in Kolkata on Tue, 15^th Feb, 2022 which was a huge success. This Job Fair was organised in association with Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP), a not-for–profit Organisation providing voluntary social services for needy individuals.

The Job Fair was conducted at Park Circus Maidan, Kolkata to help unemployed youths to get placed in reputed Corporates and to provide job opportunities to the needy without any discrimination of caste, community and creed. The Job Fair was organised by following the #COVID protocol of the West Bengal State Govt. with all precautions.

Many reputed Corporates across various industries participated in this Job Fair, which attracted 4000+ applications. Call letters were sent to the shortlisted candidates followed by various training programmes conducted by reputed trainers from ASSOCIATION OF MUSLIM PROFESSIONALS (AMP), helping the candidates get job offers from Corporates and thus making it a successful Event. There was a huge crowd of needy candidates, and at the end of the day after gruelling rounds of interviews, many candidates were given on-the-spot offers by the recruiters while many others were shortlisted for the next round of selection.

The candidates who could not succeed, for them ASSOCIATION OF MUSLIM PROFESSIONALS (AMP) has prepared a roadmap for success. They will be getting trained through the Employability Training Program (ETP) project of ASSOCIATION OF MUSLIM PROFESSIONALS (AMP) for the next 3 months, to enable them to get decent jobs. Further, they would also be enrolled without any fee on www.ampowerjobs.com another initiative of ASSOCIATION OF MUSLIM PROFESSIONALS (AMP), to help them apply for relevant jobs. Thus, they will get an opportunity to present themselves once again to the Corporates and get jobs, support their families and help the Nation grow.

Mr. Shahid Haider, Head of Employment Assistance Cell (EAC) at ASSOCIATION OF MUSLIM PROFESSIONALS (AMP), co-ordinated and managed the Job Fair along with WBMDFC. He said “This was a great opportunity for us to partner with WBMDFC once again and showcase our strengths in organising Job Fairs. To ensure that the candidates succeeded in the interviews, we conducted pre-Job Fair training to increase their confidence. We will also train the unsuccessful candidates for the next 3 months to make sure they too are placed and contribute in the Nation’s development.”

The Corporate Management in the Job Fair was ably handled by ASSOCIATION OF MUSLIM PROFESSIONALS (AMP) EAC team and the WBMDFC team supported and managed the crowd admirably.
