110+ Candidates got selected and 200+ were shortlisted at the AMP Job Fair in Kalyan, Maharashtra

Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) after the highly successful Job Fair in Byculla, Mumbai, organized another Mega Job Fair in Kalyan on Sat, 22^nd Dec, 2018 in association with Asra Foundation, which was a huge success.

The Job Fair was conducted at Kalsekar English School, Govindwadi, Kalyan (W) to help unemployed youths to get placed in reputed mainstream Corporates and to provide opportunities to the needy without any discrimination of caste, community and creed. Through this unique event, the organizers endeavoured to give back to the Nation what they have received by helping the youth get Jobs. Teamlease, a Recruitment Consultancy supported in organising the Job Fair.

50 Corporates and HR Consultants across various industries participated in this Job Fair with a turnout of around 600 Candidates. At the end of the day 110+ candidates were given on-the-spot offers by the recruiters while 200+ were shortlisted for the next round of selection.  

Mr. Arshad Abid Saheb Mulla, President – Asra Foundation, said “Organising this Job Fair is our small way of contributing for Nation Building. By helping unemployed youths get jobs, we help in Community development and thus development of the Nation. We will be conducting more such Job Fairs in the coming days in association with AMP to serve our unemployed youth across this underserved region in Thane District.”

Mr. Musaddique Majid, Acting Secretary, Asra Foundation said “AMP has been helping us organise many events targeted at students and teachers. We organised Teachers Training programme, Career Guidance seminars and other events in collaboration with AMP. This Job Fair is the right opportunity for our youth so they can transform their lives for the better and significantly contribute to India’s growth story”.

Mr. Razak Shaikh, Head-AMP Projects said “AMP has so far organized 25+ Mega Job Fairs and hundreds of Job Drives in the last 7 years and helped placing more than 15,000 candidates during these initiatives across more than 90 AMP Chapters all over the Country. We aim to place 5000+ candidates through AMP Job Fairs & Job Drives in 2019”.

Mr. Soheb Selia, General Secretary - AMP said, “AMP has worked selflessly for the sake of Indian Youth for the last 11 years through its various initiatives like Career Fests, Skill Development Lectures (SDLs), Employability Training Programmes (ETPs), Job Drives & Job Fairs etc. We are now getting into the next phase of our growth, where we will be focusing on Skill Training Initiatives through which will train 10000+ lowly educated youths and bring them into the mainstream through Skill Development.

Mr. Iftekhar Shaikh, Head – AMP Employment Assistance Cell (EAC), said “At AMP, we try our best to give the right opportunities to the youth through entry and middle level jobs. Once you have provided the youngsters with relevant jobs, it doesn’t take too long to transform and empower them so they too can contribute significantly to India’s growth story.”

The event was a result of dedication and hard work of AMP Kalyan Chapter Team Members Mr. Navid Shaikh and Mr. Arfat Majid who worked tirelessly to ensure that all arrangements were in place before the Corporates and Candidates arrived. Valuable guidance and backend support was provided by Mr. Javed Sayed, Finance Secretary-AMP who also supported the team through designing and printing too. The Asra Foundation and TeamLease team members supported the AMP Team in Corporate & Queue Management and the Police personnel managed the crowd admirably.
