About CGC

The AMP Career Guidance Council (CGC) is a national initiative by Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) with a mission to bring structured career guidance to every block of India, especially the underserved and underrepresented rural and semi-urban communities.

In a country where millions of youth complete school without clarity about their future, CGC acts as a bridge between potential and possibilities. It connects students with mentors, resources, career counselors, government schemes, and modern educational insights, ensuring that no child’s dream dies unnoticed due to lack of awareness or access.

CGC is not just a council—it’s a movement, to empower every student to make informed, confident, and purposeful career choices, in both Deen and Dunya.

Our Vision

To establish a Career Guidance Council in every block of India, transforming the nation’s youth into well-guided, self-aware, and purpose-driven citizens.

Our Mission

• To provide career awareness, mentorship, and planning to high school and college students.
• To connect rural youth with modern opportunities, scholarships, skill programs, and competitive exams.
• To create a network of mentors and professionals who can guide students both online and offline.
• To promote inclusive, Islamic, and values-based career development for Muslim youth across India.

Why CGC is the Need of the Hour

In India’s educational journey, guidance has become a privilege—limited to cities and elite schools. But in remote villages and small towns, students are educated, yet directionless. Every year, lakhs of youth drop out or choose unsuitable careers, not because of lack of intelligence—but due to lack of awareness.

• They don’t know what career options exist
• They’ve never met a role model or mentor
• They are unaware of government scholarships, courses, or exams
• Their families rely on outdated information or hearsay

This ignorance results in one of India’s greatest silent tragedies—the loss of human potential.

AMP CGC is the solution!

A Career Guidance Council in every block will:

• Reach students in schools, madrasas, and community spaces.
• Organize career guidance seminars, mentorship sessions, aptitude testing, and awareness drives.
• Train local volunteers and teachers to act as ongoing career advisors.
• Share timely information about scholarships, entrance exams, vocational training, and online resources.
• Promote value-based career choices, integrating Deen with Dunya.

This is not just education—it is empowerment.

Action Plan

AMP CGC works through a 3-Tier Implementation Framework:

1. Establish CGC Units in Every Block

• Identify local volunteers, schools, and NGOs.
• Create partnerships with local institutions for outreach and support.
• Form Block-Level CGC Committees led by trained professionals.

2. Conduct Regular Career Guidance Activities

• Career Guidance Seminars for Class 9–12 students.
• One-on-One Mentoring with industry professionals.
• Workshops on skill development, time management, goal setting, and self-discovery.
• Special sessions for girls, minorities, and first-generation learners.
• Promote online & offline tools for career exploration and tracking.

3. Empower & Train Volunteers

• Build a national pool of Career Mentors & Trainers.
• Organize Train-the-Trainer Programs for volunteers and educators.
• Collaborate with alumni, professionals, and HR experts for sustainable mentoring.
