Fakhr-e-Insaniyat award conferred on Aamir Edresy by All India Memon Jamat Federation!

The All India Memon Jamat Federation (AIMJF) conferred its prestigious Fakhre Insaniyat Award to Aamir Edresy, President – Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP), during its Annual Meeting held at Haj House in Mumbai on Saturday, 16^th September 2023.

All India Memon Jamat Federation is an apex body of 500+ national and international jamats spread all over the World. An august gathering of 1000+ Memons from different parts of India and the World had gathered at Haj House for the Annual Meeting. The programme started with Tilawate Qur’an by Yaseen Memon, followed by a special dua performed by Maulana Moin Ashraf Miyan. Subsequently, the Annual Report of the Federation was presented, followed by the Presidential address of Iqbal Memon Officer, who was also elected as the President for the 3^rd term running.

Post the election announcement and namaz e Zuhar, 20 distinguished Muslims – Memons as well non-Memons, including Aamir Edresy were presented the Fakhr-e-Insaniyat awards. Other winners included Dr. Zahir Kazi, President – Anjuman-i-Islam, Adv. Yusuf Abrahani, former MLA and President, Islam Gymkhana, Nizamuddin Rayeen, Social Leader-Congress among others.

The Awards were presented by veteran Dr G G Parekh, 99, a noted freedom fighter, who as a student volunteer, went to jail in the Quit India movement. Dr. Parekh said “It gives me immense pleasure and hope to present the awards to these deserving winners as these are the individuals, who will make the dreams of our great freedom fighters and leaders of a prosperous India, a reality.”

Iqbal Memon Officer, President – AIMJF, said “We are happy to give this award to Aamir Edresy, a young leader of the Community who has along with his team of committed professionals, in a short span of 15 years built a pan-India organisation helping underprivileged youth as well seniors in areas of Education, Jobs, Livelihoods and Medical Assistance. We salute his spirit and never-say-die attitude.”

Aamir Edresy was overwhelmed by the honour and said “I really appreciate this honour bestowed by All India Memon Jamat Federation for the service to the Community in Education & Empowerment since last 15 years. During this time, I have worked closely with All India Memon Jamat Federation and World Memon Organisation (WMO) and organised many Job Fairs across the Country helping in the placement of thousand of jobless youths.” Aamir Edresy further said that, it is a big motivation and encouragement to get such prestigious award by such a big organziation and I will continue working selflessly for the welfare of the Community and our great Nation.
