AMP Organized an interactive Teachers’ Training Workshop at Al-Muminah School in Mumbai
Before the end of the academic year, Association of Muslim Professionals organized a Teachers Training Workshop at Al Mu’minah School in Mumbai on Thursday, 27th April 2017. It was a two-hour workshop from 11am to 1pm. The topic of the session was ‘Be An Effective Teacher’.
There were close to 90 teachers who attended the workshop from different branches situated at different locations across Mumbai. Mrs. Sakina Basta who has more than 20 years of experience in the teaching field conducted the lecture.
We got an overwhelming response from the Teachers and the Principal Dr. Shehnaz Shaikh. The Principal was very delighted with the way the speaker conducted the workshop. She mentioned that the speaker was very passionate and highly motivated which came across very clearly during the course of the session. She also appreciated AMP’s effort in coordinating the entire program for the school.
Highlights discussed in the workshop:
Mrs. Sakina Basta made the session very interactive by involving the Teachers and understanding their point of view. She also did an activity wherein she asked them to sketch out their dreams which is often forgotten. This instilled a sense of personal touch as Teachers are always busy developing students and often neglect themselves. This was AMP’s way to do a part to bring about a sense of motivation amongst the Teachers. The Teachers and the staff of Al Mu’minah School requested AMP to conduct more such workshops in the near future.
With the moving times, it is our responsibility to support and give back to society, particularly Teachers who play an important role in nurturing and shaping our lives.
