AMP Mega Job Fair in Aurangabad

More than 600 needy Candidates selected & shortlisted at a mega Job Fair held by AMP in Aurangabad!

 

Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) in association with Business & Employment Bureau (BEB), Jamia Hamdard organized a mega Job Fair in Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Aurangabad, on Saturday, 25th May 2024, which was a huge success. The Job fair was conducted to help unemployed youths to get placed in reputed mainstream Corporates and to provide opportunities to the needy without any discrimination of Caste, Community and Creed.

 

There was a great response to the Job fair as more than 1400 Candidates turned up. More than 40 Corporates and Recruiters from across various industries participated in the Job Fair with more than 7000+ vacancies available for jobless youths. At the end of the day 85 Candidates were Selected and 545 were Shortlisted.

 

Mrs. Mousam Choudhary, Sr. Technical Officer, Central Institute Of Petrochemicals Engineering Technology (CIPET), Aurangabad, a Govt. of India Enterprise and Dr. Anand Ayyangar, Director, Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad, were the main Guests at the event and inaugurated the Job Fair.

 

Mrs. Choudhary, Chief Guest, was quite pleased to see the arrangements at the Job Fair venue and commended efforts of the organisers for providing job opportunities to the youth in Aurangabad. She further said, "The Government at the Centre & State level provides Skill training through its various institutions to the deserving students. However, we cannot provide the jobs to all and this kind of initiative by Maulana Azad College is a welcome step in the right direction for the skilled as well unskilled Candidates."

 

Dr. Anand Ayyangar, Guest of Honour, echoed the sentiments of Mrs. Choudhary and said that while they too provide training and skill to the Students and try to help them in placements, it is such activity as this Job Fair, which really helps those students who are unable to get campus placements. This is a welcome initiative and we appreciate AMP & Jamia Hamdard for getting this job fair to Maulana Azad Campus at Aurangabad.

 

Mr. Shaukat Mufti, OSD–Business & Employment Bureau (BEB), Jamia Hamdard, the principal sponsor, informed that BEB & Hamdard Foundation have been conducting many beneficial programmes for the progress of the Society and the Nation. This mega Job Fair is another step in that illustrious list.

 

Dr. Mazhar Ahamad Farooqi, Principal, Maulana Azad College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Aurangabad said "We have been consistently working for the welfare of our Students and the Youth of Aurangabad and this Job Fair is small step in that direction. Our association with AMP and Jamia Hamdard will help us fulfil our objective of providing jobs to youth."

 

Shahid Haider, Project Head - AMP Employment Cell, said “Association of Muslim Professionals believes that transformation can be brought in the society through Educational and Economic Empowerment. We try to empower the youth through Jobs, Skill Training & Livelihoods Assistance, so they can contribute significantly to the Nation’s growth story.” He further added that AMP will conduct 4 post-job fair online employability programs, which will provide training to candidates who have been shortlisted and those who were not successful so that they can empower themselves and achieve success.

 

The event was backed by very strong support from the local AMP Team Members & Staff members from Maulana Azad College & Y. B. Chavan College of Pharmacy. Ample assistance was given to the Corporates & Candidates, through their team of volunteers who helped in Registration, Screening, Corporate & Queue Management. The Police personnel managed the crowd and traffic admirably.

 

The Media Partner for the event was Asia Express Group, whose founder Shariq Naqshbandi personally promoted the Job Fair on his various media channels so that maximum needy youths could benefit.
