AMP conducts very successful Job Fair

50 candidates were given on-the-spot offers while another 80 were short-listed for further evaluation.

Reinforcing our resolve of continually supporting the community in its Economical Empowerment, the Association of Muslim Professional’s (AMP) conducted its 6th Job Fair at Ambernath, Maharashtra on 20th of February 2015. The Job Fair was organized in association with Anjuman Foundation.

Many Job aspirants from across Ambernath and surrounding areas especially from Central Suburbs earnestly attended the event since it provided the rare opportunity to directly connect to potential employers and demonstrate their skills to them in a one-on-one manner. This Job Fair was specially organized for Graduates and the Under Graduate students.

Mr. Azam Shaikh, of Anjuman Foundation said “The response for this event too was as overwhelming as was for its predecessors. More than 500 people turned up for the Job fair in the hope of finding the ideal job which would fit their qualifications and personal requirements.

Mr. Naveed Shaikh, one of Key AMP Coordinator in Ambernath said that “The fair was attended by 10 companies. At the end of the day 50 candidates were given on-the-spot offers by recruiters while another 80 were shortlisted for further evaluation”. The recruiters when contacted also conveyed that they were indeed very pleased with the organization of the event and the quality of the individuals whom they interacted with. “We have recruited more people than what we initially thought of in less than half day and the quality of candidates attending job fair was very good” said Mr. Ashwini Nathan, HR from Matrix Solutions Pvt Ltd. This Job Fair gave a chance to the candidates to demonstrate their eligibility for vacancies in Sales, Marketing, Back office, Admin, Automobile, Hospitality and Retail and other departments of prestigious firms.

Ms. Rifat Modi. (AMP Coordinator) said that “AMP has always believed that the Indian Youth has lot of potential and are very skilled, however due to the extremely competitive and difficult market scenario, many a times they are not able to connect to companies in respective Industry. Such events are therefore needed on a regular basis to give these people a fair platform to demonstrate their skills and prove their potential”.

She further stated that “AMP has endeavored to serve this need of our Nation’s Youth by conducting these Job Fairs and many similar events in the future. We are also conducting employability training for these young people so that they can be better prepared for future opportunities.  We further aspire to replicate this model on a Pan-India scale”.
