Ramzan has got over, and we had to celebrate Eid solemnly due to the #COVID-19 lockdown in almost all parts of the world. Closer home in India, many people and their families have suffered immense hardships — many of us lost our jobs and livelihoods because of the lockdown imposed to contain the fallout of the pandemic.
However, this immense tragedy brought out the best in many of us, who contributed in some way or the other for the betterment of our fellow human beings. AMP rose to the occasion by launching IndiaZakat.com, a digital crowdfunding platform for Zakat Donors and Zakat Seekers.
Rising to the Occasion
#Feed5000Families
On this platform, AMP launched its #Feed5000Families campaign, through which we sought to help those who were badly affected by the lockdown and could not afford two square meals a day. Alhamdulillah, our well-wishers and donors went out of the way to contribute to this magnificent effort.
I also express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who have contributed towards the AMP Zakat Fund (AZF). Your deep concern for the welfare of our Muslim brethren is evident from the support you have extended to this noble cause, and your acknowledgement of our humble efforts to bring about a revolutionary change in the community.
Finally, I take this opportunity to invite you to participate in AMP’s activities for the upliftment of the community.
