AMP is an intellectual organization spread out at a national level with more than 60 Chapters in 18 States across India and growing further with a strong presence of professional base across the country. AMP has been instrumental in conducting various educational, social and welfare activities for the benefit of the society across the length and breadth of the country.

AMP realizing its duty towards Community welfare, the potential of a properly organized Zakat disbursement and also how Zakat can be effectively utilized to bring out the Community from the throes of misery had established AMP Zakat Fund in 2013 to empower lives of our people by promoting Education & Self-employment.

With the noble intention of helping the needy Muslim brethren, AMP initiated a “Scholarship Fund” with the Zakat Fund Collected in 2013. The purpose of this fund was/is to provide monetary support to genuinely needy Muslims for Higher & Technical Education. Last year AMP has provided support to 106 Students pursuing mainly Engineering and Medical Education. In last 3 years, we have helped 157 students for Higher Education and 69 people for Self-Employment. These Scholarships are distributed to most deserving and meritorious students selected from the applications received across India.

This year onwards realizing the need of times we have added two more avenues of supporting Orphans and under-privileged students who have secured admissions in the prestigious IIT institutions and struggling to pay their fees.

It is said, “The IITs probably are the hardest school in the world to get into, put Harvard, MIT and Princeton together, and you begin to get an idea of the status of IIT in India.”
IIT takes the best students and delivers the best to the world in terms of knowledge and intellect. It has been observed that IITian’s are responsible for most of the startups and this in turn creates opportunities for many more to be employed. It has been observed that there are geniuses in the community who have worked hard to qualify for the prestigious IIT institute but cannot sustain it due to financial constraints, which is severe loss of the Community. To plug this loss and with the above mentioned far-sightedness in mind AMP has established an IIT Scholarship Fund. Moreover the expertise and intelligence of this bright lot can be very well utilized for the benefit of the Community.

The purpose of this fund is to provide monetary support to bright needy Muslim students who have secured admission in the prestigious IIT institutions but are unable to pay the fees.This is a very thoughtful and ambitious project of AMP which can be of great help to needy and the brightest students. AMP has embarked upon a wonderful journey of Community Service. This is a great example in community service which should be replicated by other social welfare organizations as well. We want more and more people to come forward and support this nobel cause or work this way constructively in the field of Community service.

AMP firmly believes that Education has the power to salvage the community from the throes of ignorance and widespread adversity and usher in a new era of prosperity.  As such it feel that there needs to be focus on Higher Education so that talented and able individuals from the community can gain the right skills and qualifications required to grab contemporary opportunities and walk at pace with the fast-evolving world.
