200+ Candidates attended the AMP 1st Skill Training Mela in Mumbai, organised by AMP and Social Group of Shaikh Misri


Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) organized a Skill Training Mela in Mumbai on Saturday, 6th April 2019 organised by AMP and Social Group of Shaikh Misri which was a huge success. More than 17 Companies from across various industries like Automobiles, IT, Healthcare, Banking & Finance, HR & Recruitment, AC & Refrigeration participated in this Skill Training Mela with a turnout of more than 200+ Candidates.

 

The Skill Training Mela was conducted on the premises of Bhatkuli Shah Dargah Compound to help less educated and unemployed youths to get skill trained which will help place them in reputed Corporates. This will provide opportunities to the needy without any discrimination of caste, community and creed. Through this mega event, the organizers endeavoured to give back to the Nation what they have received by helping the youth get meaningful Jobs. Social Group of Shaikh Misri (SGSM) and Bhatkuli Dargah Committee, Antop Hill, Mumbai supported the event by providing the venue and resources needed for the Job Fair.

 

Mr. Aamir Edresy, President AMP, who addressed the participants said “AMP is committed to skill train 10,000 youths this year so that they are able to get meaningful jobs in Corporates. We have selected areas in Mumbai and Thane where due to economic backwardness the youngsters ae unable to continue their Education and hence these Skill Training Melas will be immensely useful.”

 

Mr. Salim Alware, well-known social activist and Career Guidance expert spoke to the participants on the importance of self-grooming and skill training for getting entry into good Organisations.

 

Mr. Javed Jamaluddin, Senior Member of Social Group of Shaikh Misri (SGSM) and noted Journalist appreciated AMP’s efforts in organsing the Skill Training Mela. He said “I thank AMP & Bhatkuli Dargah Committee sincerely for organising this much needed event in a place like Antop Hill in Mumbai, where the youngsters get into undesirable activities due to lack of education and guidance. These kind of events will go a long way in helping these youngsters and their families to make a decent living.”

 

Mr. Iftekhar Shaikh, Head of AMP’s Employment Assistance Cell said “It is AMP’s endeavour to help youngsters, irrespective of their caste and creed to become responsible citizens of the country by providing them with relevant skills and then suitable placements in the Corporate sector”

 

The event was a result of dedication and hard work of AMP Volunteers & Staff Members especially Mr. Farhan Khan, Mr. Alim Momin, Mr. Shagaf Mahimi, Mr. Nazim Ansari and others. Mr. Javed Jamaluddin, Mr. Salim Alware, Moulana Tauseef Raza of Social Group of Shaikh Misri (SGSM) and their team worked tirelessly to ensure that all arrangements were in place before the Corporates and Candidates arrived. The members of Bhatkuli Dargah Committee Mr. Farook & Riyaz Shaikh and Moulana Shahid along with SGSM team members supported the AMP Team in Corporate & Candidate Management and the Police personnel managed the crowd admirably.
