Best Career Guidance Seminar (CGS) Team Award

The National Seminar titled, ‘Career Guidance Seminar…… Sitaron Se Aage Jahan Aur Bhi Hain’ was organized all over India, which aimed to Guide and motivate students and understand the importance of Education & Various Career Opportunities in future. These lectures are for the benefit of 10th Grade and above students aspiring for promising careers but do not have a sense of clear direction. 

These Seminars were conducted in over 20 locations across different cities in India.

The AMP - Aurangabad Chapter organised a Career Guidance Seminar for students who have appeared for their 10th boards in 2017-18. The seminar was called "Sitaron Se Aage Jahan Aur Bhi Hain", and was held on 8th April, Sunday, at IMA Hall, Adalat Road.

Promotion:

The event was promoted through an impressive online campaign by the local chapter to effectively connect with the students who had taken 10th board examinations. This included a promotional video that depicted two students discussing the camp with anticipation. Video was thrilling and has captured the dilemma of students on selecting careers.

Registartion:

Students were asked to register online through a Google form. The reason was to provide them with a first-hand experience of online registration at their tender age. A dedicated AMP Aurangabad office number was shared with students and parents for enquiries and to answer FAQs. Aptitude tests for students and feedback forms for parents were designed by experts.

School Connect:

Managements of schools, Principals and eminent teachers from top 20 schools were invited for the event through a formal letters. The idea was to present before them AMP activity so that we can connect with them for SDL on a long term basis. NGOs and social workers were invited to create collaboration opportunities. Panel selection was done keeping in mind their social impact and educational background.

Eminent Guests:

The chief guest Mr. Munish Sharma, Director General, MIT Group of Institutions, is a major figure in the educational scene of Aurangabad. He said that if one identified any crucial problem of a city like Aurangabad, such as waste disposal or water supply, and worked to develop a solution to that problem, then that solution could be commercially exploited in similar cities across the country and the world.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (Retired) from Mumbai, and founder of the first Anti-Terrorist Squad in India, Mr. Aftab Ahmed Khan, spoke on a career in the Civil Services. He said that this was an extremely satisfying career which afforded one opportunities to serve and protect the weakest and most helpless in society.

Prof. Najmuddin, expert career counsellor, advised students on the umpteen opportunities for further studies in premier institutes. Dr. Mohammad Sayeed engaged an energetic motivation session in which each student resolved to become a changed person.

Dr. Aziz Quadri, prominent psychiatrist, counselled parents on the great importance of career counselling. He advised students to realistically assess and identify their strengths and weaknesses, so that they select a career according to their aptitude and talent.

Token of appreciation to Guests:

The guests were gifted carefully selected books, based on their respective areas of interests. Formalities during the programme were kept to a minimum to save time and expenses. The programme schedule was made on a minute to minute basis and was distributed to the guests with the Invitation Letter.

Media Coverage:

It was very well covered in print media, social media and electronic media right from the registrations till the conclusion. The event was recorded on video and the speeches by guests are uploaded on the chapter's YouTube channel.

Team Work:

Various Roles were defined and were executed such as, Project Co-ordinator - Mr. Naseer Hyder, Hospitality – Dr. Meraj Qadri, Internal Coordination – Dr. Syed Maaz, Registeration & enquiry Desk - Dr. Imran Deshmukh & Mr. Laeeq, Protocol officer for out station guests - Mr. Faiz Siddiqui and Mr. Mujtaba Khan. Networking and AMP promotion was done by city chapter head Dr. Syed Mohsin. Ladies wing members Mrs. Amreen Fatima, Mrs. Ayesha Fatima and Mrs. Ayesha Siddiqui also contributed to the event's success. All the members (most of them joined AMP just before the event) took special efforts for the successful execution of the programme.
