175 Got Spot Job Offer And 360+ Were Shortlisted

175 Candidates got spot job offers and 360 Candidates shortlisted in the Mega Job Fair organised by AMP in Wadala, Mumbai

 

Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) in association with Royal Office of Sheikh Tahmoon Bin Sayeed Bin Tahmoon Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi and BGPS’ Mumbai College of Arts, Science & Commerce organized a Mega Job Fair in Wadala (E), Mumbai on Sat, 27th July, 2019, which was a huge success.

 

The Job Fair was conducted at the campus of BGPS’ Mumbai College of Arts, Science & Commerce to help unemployed youths to get placed in reputed mainstream Corporates and to provide opportunities to the needy without any discrimination of caste and creed. Through this unique event, the organizers endeavoured to give back to the Nation what they have received by helping the youth get meaningful Jobs.

 

72 Corporates from across various industries participated in this Job Fair with a big turnout of 1000+ candidates. At the end of the day around 175 candidates were given on-the-spot offers by the recruiters while 360 were shortlisted for the next round of interviews. 

 

Inauguration of the Mega Job Fair took place at the hands of H. E. Mr. Zulfiquar Ghadiyali, CEO of the Royal Office of Sheikh Tahmoon Bin Sayeed Bin Tahmoon Al Nahyan. Dr. C. Satyanarayan, Director, Mumbai Institute of Management & Research, which is part of J. K. Knowledge Centre, Wadala, welcomed the Guests, Corporates and the participants of the Job Fair.

 

Mr. Ehsan Gadawala, India President of World Memon Organisation (WMO), who was present during the occasion said “Organising Job Fairs is a great way to serve the Society and WMO has teamed up with AMP to help our youth get Jobs so they can support their families”.

 

Mr. Aamir Edresy, President, AMP said “I would like thank H.E. Mr. Zulfiqar Ghadiyali for supporting this Job Fair. He said this area is a very backward & impoverished one, where the youth needs to be engaged in developmental activities so they do not get wayward. Organising this Job Fair is an important part of that engagement so they are meaningfully occupied and contributing to the Society and the Nation”.

 

Mr. Majid Khan, CEO, Business Barons, said “When AMP team told me that they wanted to organise a Job Fair for the benefit of youth in the backward area of Wadala in Mumbai and were looking for someone to support this initiative, I immediately thought of Mr. Zulfiqar Ghadiyali as the Royal Office of Sheikh Tahmoon Bin Sayeed Bin Tahmoon Al Nahyan has been supporting developmental activities in India and Mumbai.”

 

Mr. Zulfiqar Ghadiyali, CEO of the Royal Office of Sheikh Tahmoon Bin Sayeed Bin Tahmoon Al Nahyan who specially flew down to attend this Job Fair said “I ‘am proud of these youngsters who are present here as they are the asset of the Nation. When His Royal Highness asked what’s the most significant export of India, I mentioned its Human Resources. I thank AMP to have given me the opportunity to support this important development activity for a backward region of Mumbai, which is what the Royal Office wants to do in India. I am also pleased to announce that we will sponsor underprivileged but bright students to study in Cambridge.”

 

Mr. Iftekhar Bidkar, Head-AMP Employment Assistance Cell said “AMP’s objective is to help in contributing to the country’s economy by providing Jobs to youth. So far AMP has organized 38 Mega Job Fairs till date and 300+ Job Drives in the last 7 years and helped placing more than 17,000+ candidates”.

 

Dr. C. Satyanarayan, Director, Mumbai Institute of Management & Research while welcoming guests said “We are quite pleased that AMP chose our campus to organise this event. We welcome this association with AMP which will help our students and the Institute to grow both academically and professionally”.

 

The event was a result of dedication and hard work of AMP & BGPS’ Mumbai College Team Members which included Mr. Soheb Selia, Gen. Secretary-AMP, Mr. Razak Shaikh, Head-AMP Projects, Mr. Javed Sayed, Treasurer-AMP.  Principal Anil Gaikwad, Mrs. Draksha Khan and their staff members and the Volunteers of BGPS’ Mumbai College helped in organising the infrastructure and managed the crowd ably.
