Skill Development Lectures (SDLs)

AMP tries to reach students in the remotest areas across the country through Skill Development Lectures (SDL). It is one of AMP's main Flagship Projects which has been the most impactful as well. The idea is to try and do wholesome guidance of students/ prospects towards Career Planning and Self-Development.

In the month of October ’17, we covered 45 schools all across India and 2500 students benefitted due to these lectures.

SDL Star of the Month

AMP SDL Star of the Month for October 2017 was declared in favour of Mr. Asad Khan from Bhopal Chapter for his commitment and dedication towards SDL, which allows him to cover three schools on a monthly basis. Mr. Asad Khan is a Tele Communication Engineer by profession, currently working as Manager with HCL Technologies.

He has 12 years of Diversified Professional Experience with multiple roles in various Multinational Organisations. This professionalism drives his SDLs in highly Corporate Style and really touches the students’ hearts.

Train the Trainer

1) AMP Kurla Chapter organized 'Train the Trainer' program on Saturday, 14th October 2017. The session was attended by 28 new speakers from all over Mumbai. The lecture was arranged at Anjuman Khairul Islam D.Ed College, Kurla. It was a very knowledgable program which helped the speakers to understand the method of conducting the Skill Development Lectures. 

Miss. Muzammil Banatwalla from AMP Office organized and co-ordinated the entire program along with the help of Mr. Shahzad Khan from Kurla.

2) AMP Nagpur Chapter organized 'Train the Trainer' program on Sunday, 22nd October 2017. 10 new speakers from all over Nagpur attended the session. The lecture was arranged at Sibtain International, Nagpur. It was a very knowledgeable program that helped the speakers to understand the method of conducting the Skill Development Lectures.

The lecture was conducted & co-ordinated by Mr. Shakir Raza Khan who is also the Chapter Coordinator of AMP Team Nagpur.

Economic Development Plan 

AMP in continuation of its agenda of creating an Economic Development Plan for the Muslim Community organized the following meetings:

1. AMP Delhi Chapter organised a Sr. Professionals’ Meeting on Mon, 9^th Oct 2017 in New Delhi to continue AMP’s initiative of holding country wide meetings and discussions for developing a complete Roadmap for the Economic Upliftment of the Muslim Community. For more details, click here.
    
2. AMP Mumbai Chapter held its 3rd meeting at Mumbai on Saturday, 28th October 2017. A few new professionals from different back grounds and some of the old participants came together and discussed the formation of 12 Working Groups, their Leads and the Team Members.

Aurangabad Chapter Meeting

AMP Central Team including Mr. Abdul Razak Shaikh, AMP Board Member, Mr. Iftekhar Shaikh, Head – Employment Assistance Cell (EAC), and Mr. Mohammed Feroz Shaikh, Sr. Manager – Operations visited Aurangabad Chapter on Saturday, 7^th October, 2017 for multiple meetings.

The main intention of the visit was to meet Aurangabad Police as AMP was invited to conduct a Job Fair for their children and relatives.

Monthly Chapter Meetings

AMP Monthly Chapter Meetings were conducted in 11 cities across the Country in October, 2017. Out of these, Mr. Aamir Edresy, President-AMP, was personally present in Aligarh, Varanasi, Baroda and Sangli. The other cities included Aurangabad, Pune, Belgaum, Bangalore, Chennai, Punjab and Mira Road in Mumbai. The main intention of these Chapter Meetings is to bring the Members and Volunteers together and work out a plan of action for the next month and the quarter.

Tentative Plans for the month of November, 2017

We will be observing the following activities:

1.  AMP Job Drives are planned this month in the cities of Mumbai, Bhiwandi, Delhi, and Aligarh.

1. AMP Mega Job Fair will be held in Aurangabad for the Children and Relatives of Aurangabad Police on Saturday, 18^th Nov. ‘17. For more details, click here.
   
   

1. AMP President Mr. Aamir Edresy, would be undertaking Chapter Visits to various cities like Hyderabad, Delhi, Aligarh, Varanasi and others to conduct various AMP activities and plan for future ones.

1. AMP will be planning and announcing the National SDL Campaign for ‘Education Day’ on occasion of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s birthday on November 11, 2017.
