During May 2017, the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) organized impactful nationwide initiatives, featuring the Mega Job Fair in Mumbai, multi-city Job Drives across 6 locations, the historic commencement of AMP’s 10th Year Celebrations, the launch of Patron Membership, the Summer Internship Program, the 2017 AMP Zakat Fund rollout, the Online Career Counselling Cell, and key Chapter assemblies across India.

Major Activities & Initiatives
1. Mega Job Fair at Lower Parel, Mumbai (13th May 2017)
AMP in association with Saarth Prathisthan organized a successful Job Fair at Lower Parel, Mumbai on 13th May 2017. 41 corporates participated, including McDonald's, Richfeel, Amnesty International, Lenskart, L&T Finance, and more.
About 2,000 students attended the job fair, out of which 200 students were shortlisted, and 15 students with hearing and speaking disabilities were selected by two of India's finest retail giants.

2. Multi-City Job Drives Across India (May 2017)
Wadala Job Drive (6th May)
Conducted on 6th May 2017 for job seekers in Wadala.
Malad Job Drive (6th May)
Conducted on 6th May 2017 for youth in Malad region.
Kurla Job Drive (20th May)
Successful drive organized on 20th May 2017 in Kurla.
Bhiwandi Job Drive (20th May)
Conducted on 20th May 2017 for youth in Bhiwandi.
Nashik Job Drive (20th May)
Organized on 20th May 2017 for candidates in Nashik.
Delhi Job Drive (20th May)
Conducted on 20th May 2017 for job seekers in Delhi NCR.
3. Commencement of AMP’s 10th Year Celebrations
AMP commenced its 10th Year Celebrations in a historic program held in Mumbai. The event presented a flashback of the past decade of AMP’s milestones alongside strategic forecasts for the coming years. AMP’s work was widely appreciated by community leaders and dignitaries present.

4. Launch of Patron Membership in Mumbai
AMP officially launched the Patron Membership of the Organization in Mumbai, assigning it to 14 prominent, socially active, and influential leaders. Additionally, 5 Patron Members were nominated to the AMP Governing Council.

5. Nationwide Career Chart Distribution
The comprehensive AMP Career Chart was distributed across 21 schools throughout the country to assist students and parents with informed academic and career planning.
6. AMP Summer Internship Program Launch
Team AMP launched its Summer Internship Program for Graduate and Post-Graduate students, offering hands-on experience on live social projects to enhance soft skills and foster personality development. Around 62 students registered under this program.
7. Official Launch of AMP Zakat Fund (AZF) 2017
The AMP Zakat Fund was officially launched this month to provide structured monetary support to genuinely needy and underprivileged Muslims under two main heads: Higher Education Support and Self-Employment Assistance. Our mission: ‘Transform the Zakat Taker of Today into the Zakat Giver of Tomorrow.’
8. AMP Online Career Counselling Cell
Under the Online Career Counselling Cell initiative, over 200 expert counsellors have registered. Following state board examination results, students nationwide have been calling up counselors for academic guidance.
9. Hubli – Dharwad Chapter 13-Day Bridge Course
AMP Hubli – Dharwad Chapter organized a 13-Day Bridge Course for students focused on Personality Development, Attitude Correction, and English Communication skills.
10. Chapter Meetings & Regional Initiatives
Bangalore Chapter (20th May)
AZF strategy, school database rollout for regular SDLs, and volunteer teams.
UP Chapter (21st May)
Deliberated on AZF collection and disbursement mechanisms across UP.
Bhopal Chapter (14th May)
Introduced AMP activities to new volunteers alongside execution planning.
Gulbarga Chapter
Awareness program for Civil Services coaching at MANUU University campus.
Bhiwandi Chapter (26th May)
Inaugurated regular SDLs, Principals Meets, and Job Drives in Bhiwandi.
Tentative Plans for the Month of June, 2017
1. Career Guidance & Counselling
Active counselling support for SSC and HSC students following board results.
2. AMP Zakat Fund Promotion
Nationwide mobilization and promotion for the AMP Zakat Fund campaign.
