Monthly Report January 2018

A comprehensive monthly report of AMP’s nationwide initiatives in January 2018, featuring Mega Job Fairs in Mumbai and Surat, Job Drive at Andheri, the Republic Day National SDL Campaign, Skill Development Lectures across India, Teachers Training Programme in Mumbra, and Chapter Meetings across 5 cities.

Following are the major activities conducted by AMP across India in January 2018:

1. AMP Job Fairs: AMP conducted successful Job Fairs in Mumbai and Surat, Gujarat as per the following details;

A) AMP-WMO Mega Job Fair in Mumbai

AMP in association with World Memon Organisation (WMO) organized a Mega Job Fair in Mumbai on Fri, 5th Jan, 2018, which was a huge success. For this Job Fair in AMP also tied up with the Mumbai District Skill Development, Employment & Entrepreneurship (DSDE&E) and Maharashtra State Skill Development Society (MSSDS) which are a Government of Maharashtra Undertakings. The other organization associating was F. Gheewala HR Consultants.

56 Corporates from across various industries had participated in this Job Fair with a massive turnout of more than 1800 candidates. At the end of the day around 310 candidates were given on-the-spot offers by the recruiters while 643 were shortlisted for the next round of selection.

B) Mega Job Fair in Surat

AMP in association with Surat Islam Yatimkhana Society (SIYS) and Progressive Muslim Education Trust (PMET) organized a Mega Job Fair in Surat on Sat, 27th Jan ‘18, which was a huge success. For this Job Fair, the organisers tied up with the Model Career Centre, Surat (MCC) an initiative of the Central Govt. and State Govt. of Gujarat. The event was conducted at the Campus of Surat Islam Yateemkhana to help unemployed youths of Surat to get placed in reputed Corporates and to provide job opportunities to the needy without any discrimination of caste and creed.

40 Corporates from across various industries participated in this Job Fair with a massive turnout of more than 1200+ candidates. At the end of the day around 130 candidates were given on-the-spot offers by the recruiters while 550 plus candidates were shortlisted for the next round of selection.

2. AMP Job Drive at Andheri, Mumbai

AMP in collaboration with Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) had organized a successful Job Drive at Andheri, Mumbai on Saturday 20th January 2018.

4 Corporates participated in the Job Drive, namely SS Global Recruiters, Magus Dialogue, Mount Talent, Kaycomm Service Pvt. Ltd. 106 Candidates attended the Job Drive out of which 65 were shortlisted.

3. AMP Republic Day National SDL Campaign

3. AMP Republic Day National SDL Campaign

AMP concluded its week-long Nation-wide Republic Day National Campaign from Thu, 25th Jan to Wed, 31st Jan 2018 throughout the country. The National campaign titled, ‘Indian Constitution- Our Rights & Our Responsibilities … Dasture Hind – Hamare Huqooq, Hamari Zimmederiyan’, was organized all over India, which focused on creating awareness of the Republic Day.

These lecture series were conducted in over 40 schools across different cities in India. People involved in taking these lectures were AMPs own team, consisting of volunteers and speakers spread across the country, as wide as from Mumbai to Vaniyambadi and across the North and South of the Country benefiting more than 3,000 students in 10 cities.

4. AMP SDL Report Card of the Month

AMP tries to reach students in the remotest areas across the country through Skill Development Lectures (SDL). It is one of AMP's main Flagship Projects which has been the most impactful as well. The idea is to try and do wholesome guidance of students/ prospects towards Career Planning and Self-Development.

AMP successfully conducted Regular SDLs in 30 Schools across the country. The topics chosen for regular SDL’s were on various subjects as per the requirement in the Chapters. AMP is proud to announce the SDL Report Card for the month of January 2018.

5. AMP SDL Star of the Month

AMP Congratulates Mr. Asif Shaikh for his commitment and dedication towards SDL that has allowed him to initiate 4 lectures in January with an average batch size of 70 students per lecture in Bhusawal.

Mr. Shaikh has completed M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering and is currently working as an Assistant Engineer in Mahagenco, Maharashtra State Government PSU. He is posted at Bhusawal Thermal Power Station in Control & Instrumentation Engineering department.

6. AMP Teachers Training Programme (TTP)

As the sun rose for the first time in 2018, AMP-Mumbra Chapter and Winsome Flora School decided to start the year with an attempt to change the years to come. Mr. Imran Khan, a well-established corporate trainer with over 20 years of training experience decided to share his thoughts with 29 teachers and a handful AMP volunteers at Winsome Flora School – Mumbra. “AMP Teachers Training Program” (TTP) was held on 1st January 2018.

7. AMP Monthly Chapter Meetings

AMP Chapters in 5 cities across the Country conducted Chapter Meets in January, 2018. Hubli Dharwad, Bhopal, UP, Mumbai & Navi Mumbai were the cities which conducted Chapter meetings. The main intention of these Chapter Meetings is to bring the Members and Volunteers together and work out a plan of action for the next month and the quarter.

Plans for the Month of February, 2018

1. Interview Crackathon Tour

Mr. Tanveer Ahmed’s Interview Crackathon is planned across 24 cities and will be held during the month of February 2018.

2. Multi-City Job Drives

AMP Job Drives are planned this month in Bhopal, Hubli, Aligarh & Gulbarga.
