AMP Central Team visited Aurangabad

On October 7, 2017, the AMP Central Team, including members Abdul Razak Shaikh, Iftekhar Shaikh, and Mohammed Feroz Shaikh, visited the Aurangabad Chapter for a series of meetings aimed at enhancing local employment initiatives. The team, escorted by Aurangabad Police, engaged in discussions about a Job Fair for police personnel's children and provided guidance on organizing a Job Drive, marking its first occurrence in the area. They met with local leaders, including API Shamkant Patil and Deputy Director Anil Pawar, to coordinate efforts for the upcoming Job Fair scheduled for November 18. The visit also included a luncheon with local media and discussions on AMP's future plans. The day concluded with awards recognizing educational achievements and a commitment to collaborate with local NGOs to support youth employment.

Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) Central Team visited Aurangabad Chapter on Sat, 7th Oct’ 2017.

AMP Central Team including Mr. Abdul Razak Shaikh, AMP Board Member, Mr. Iftekhar Shaikh, Head – Employment Assistance Cell (EAC), and Mr. Mohammed Feroz Shaikh, Sr. Manager – Operations visited Aurangabad on Saturday, 7th October, 2017 for multiple meetings.

The Team reached Aurangabad at 5 am and was escorted by Aurangabad Police to the Govt. Guest House for the stay. Aurangabad Police had arranged for their stay, as one of the items on the agenda of the visit was to have a meeting with them regarding the Job Fair to be organised for the children of the Police personnel.

At 10am we were picked by Moosa Sayyed of the local Chapter Team and taken to the Job Drive (JD) location which was being held for the 1st time by Aurangabad Chapter.

Meeting 1:

Visited the Aurangabad JD location and met the local team and volunteers. Mr. Sayyed Mujtaba Umair, Chapter Co-ordinator, Mr. Mushahed Nadeem, JD Co-ordinator and Mr. Syed Mohsin, Senior Member of the team and others were present to ensure smooth organisation of the JD.

The Central Team guided the Local Team on the process of setting up the facilities for the JD and how to conduct it smoothly.

Meeting 2:

The Central Team then moved on to Aurangabad Police Public School, the venue of the proposed Job Fair (JF) and met API Shamkant Patil for the recce of the venue.

Meeting 3:

API Patil along with the Central Team and Sayyed Mujtaba Umair then went to the Offices of Aurangabad Skill Development and Employment Assistance for a meeting with the Deputy Director, Mr. Anil Pawar along with his district heads team and discussed about the joint activity for the Police JF.

Meeting 4:

The Central Team and Mr. Umair then moved on for a Luncheon meeting with Mr. Shareque Naqshbandi, Chief Editor - Asia Express, a leading Urdu newspaper of Aurangabad.

The team discussed with him about AMP activities currently in Aurangabad and future plans for the Aurangabad Chapter. Mr. Naqshbandi mentioned about his intention to hold a mega Job Fair in Aurangabad in association with AMP.

Meeting 5:

The Central Team and Mr. Umair then meet Mr. Abdul Azim of Badi Masjid Engineering Complex, a unique model of Engineering students’ hostel with a strong Alumni connect.

The team discussed about AMP activities and heard about their Model of operation. Met few key intellectual students and visited the campus. 130 students are offered campus facilities along with complete guidance and mentorship. Azim Sir was very impressed with the AMP activities and promised to work together on AMP Projects.

Meeting 6:

The Central Team and Mr. Umair then moved on for the Aurangabad Chapter meeting, which was attended by 20 people. The meeting started with Tilawate Quran, and then

Sayyed Mujtaba Umair shared his personal experience of how he connected with AMP in 2008 and still continues to participate and conduct AMP activities in Aurangabad.

Iftekhar Shaikh gave a short introduction of AMP and its current activities for the benefit of new members present.

Abdul Razak Shaikh spoke about the AMP Journey forward and how Aurangabad team can participate and help the youth of Aurangabad. There was an appeal to increase the members through joint collaboration of NGOs and other groups working in the fields of Education and Employment.

The meeting concluded by handing over the AMP Excellence in Education award to Dr. Quazi Naweed Ahmed, HOD, Moulana Azad College, and the AMP Achievers in Education award to Syed Mohsin, who recieved it for completing his Ph.D.

AMP Higher Education Scholarship cheques were handed over to 3 students. In the end, it was decided that the Chapter Team will start action for the forthcoming Police Job fair at Aurangabad in the month of November’17.

Meeting 7:

Iftekar Shaikh, Mushahed Nadeem and Feroz Shaikh met the DCP, Aurangabad Police       Dr. Deepali Dhate-Ghadge along with Mr. N. N. Suryavanshi, Asst. Dir. – Aurangabad Skill Development & Employment Assistance and his team.

Introduction of AMP was given to the DCP and the complete actionable of Aurangabad Police JF was discussed in detail with work responsibility of each team. The tentative date of the JF was proposed to be Sat, 18th Nov 2017.

The day concluded with AMP Central Team being hosted dinner for by Sayyed Mujtaba Bhai and Mushahed Nadeem Bhai after which the Team moved to Aurangabad station for the return train at 11 pm.
