AMP ZAKAT FUND REPORT 2019
Transforming Lives, Empowering Futures!
Over 759 deserving and underprivileged lives were touched by the AMP Zakat Fund in 2019!
Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam and one of its defining characteristics. No other theological religion places such a great emphasis on social equity through voluntary charitable contributions. In more than 30 verses of the Holy Qur’an, the giving of Zakat is coupled with prayer (Salah) as the most desirable qualities of the faithful, representing the economic pillar of Islam.
The AMP Zakat Fund (AZF) was established 7 years ago with a core focus on Education and Self-Employment for underprivileged Muslims. Alhamdulillah, it has grown multi-fold from a humble collection of merely Rs. 2 lakhs in 2013 to more than Rs. 89,96,082 from 948 Donors in 2019.
Our Mission: To help *make the Zakat Seekers of today become the Zakat Givers of tomorrow*.
