922 candidates shortlisted & selected in a Mega Job Fair organized by AMP and Mohamed Sathak College in Chennai!
Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) in collaboration with Mohamed Sathak College of Arts & Science (MSCAS), Chennai, hosted a mega Job Fair on Saturday, 27th July in their Campus at Sholinganallur, Chennai - 600119. The Job Fair was extremely successful in which 169 candidates were selected and 753 were shortlisted out of a total of 2216 candidates who were interviewed.
75 top Corporates & Recruiters from Banking & Finance, IT, Automotive, Telecom, BPO, Retail, Facilities Management, Engineering, Computer Science and many other sectors participated in the Job Fair which was open to all Castes & Communities. There were 3,000+ Candidate registrations out of which 2,000+ attended the Job Fair.
S. Ahamed Meeran, M.D., Professional Couriers, and Chairman – Unity Group of Schools inaugurated the Job Fair to start the proceedings, which was attended by other eminent personalities. Waseem Hami, Founder & Chairman, Al Mustafa Trust, J&K was the Guest of Honour. Mr. Meeran gave an encouraging speech for the Candidates who came for the Job Fair, advising them to improve on communication skills along with technical knowledge to succeed in interviews as well as jobs..
Principal Ms. (Dr.) H. Abhirami of Mohamed Sathak college welcomed the participants – Corporates, Recruiters and Candidates to the Job Fair. She appreciated AMP’s work on providing employment and employability training to the unemployed youth of the country irrespective of caste and creed.
She further said partnership with AMP is an excellent opportunity for us. The students of this college and the candidates coming from outside should make full use of this Job fair to get hired, and also develop required skills through their employability training.”
Ms. Shereen Sultana, AMP State Head, TN, and the main force behind the Job Fair said “I cannot emphasise more about the importance of this Job Fair in providing Jobs across all the Communities without any bar whatsoever, thus increasing social harmony and brotherhood. My sincere thanks to the sponsors for their great support for this event, and Mr. Syed Faheem & Mr. Syed Deen managing the job fair well.”
Shahid Haider, Head - AMP Employment Assistance Cell, which manages & organises these Job Fairs all over the Country, said “One of our objectives is to provide Job opportunities to needy youth and help in making them self-sufficient and thus contribute to Nation Building. We have already organised 95 Job Fairs and 650+ Job Drives all across India and in the process helped place 70,000+ candidates in various Corporates till date.”
This entire event would not have been possible without the assistance of the Management, Principal, Dean, the college staff, placement cell officers Mr. Logesh & Mr. Vigneshwaran of MSCAS and volunteers as well as AMP Team Members. Shahid Haider and his team helped to make this event successful by coordinating with all the Corporates & Recruiters and managing the job fair effortlessly.
