AMP runs a week long Independence Day Campaign

Mumbai, Maharashtra, 15th August, 2018

As we celebrate 71 glorious years of freedom, Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) launched the Independence Day National Campaign to conduct Guidance Lectures in Schools across India.

The lectures titled, “Hum Banenge Hind Ki Nayi Pehchan” is being organized all over India to give the students an insight on Careers in Nation Building. These lectures are dedicated as a salutation to the phenomenal efforts of Indian Muslim Freedom Fighters. AMP will be doing more than 125 lectures between 13th to 20th Aug 2018 in different Schools across India.

Today being 15th August, Special Lectures were arranged in Mumbai and other Chapters across the country to mark the significance of Independence Day. On this occasion, AMP Vaniyambadi Chapter celebrated Independence Day at Naya Madrasa where 372 students were present and AMP Vaniyambadi Head Mr. Ataur Rahman conducted the Guidance Lecture and also instilled a feeling of patriotism in the crowd. They remembered with gratitude the sacrifice of the freedom fighters which also included the contribution specially made by the Muslims who fought for the Independence of the country. The Principal of the School Madam Shaheen gave a welcome speech and appreciated the efforts of Team AMP.

AMP Hubli organized a special lecture in Anglo Urdu High School. Dr. Zahida Khan, who is State Head of AMP Karnataka Chapter travelled to Hubli to mark her presence and be a part of this glorious occasion. She is an ex- student of Anglo Urdu High School and speaker who shared her life experience with the students. She explained about AMP National Campaign and motivated them to aim high in life where there should be no limit on the dreams. Advocate Ali Ladkhan along with other members from AMP Hubli team spoke about the different activities initiated by AMP wherein 170 students attended the event.

AMP Pune Chapter also initiated the celebrations of Independence by successfully conducting a lecture at Vishal Maharashtra High School at Hadapsar in Pune. The lecture was attended by 70 students from 9th and 10th Grades respectively. Mr. Faizan Ansari spoke about Unity and Diversity of the Nation and how different people of different religions stands in respect towards the Nation as One.

There were two lectures arranged at Moreshwar Patankar Urdu School at Kurla and Anjuman Shaan-E-Millat Urdu High School at Goregaon located in Mumbai respectively. The lecture was conducted by Mr. Aamir Siddiqui who articulated the session very well for the students. He touched on the various Careers Options available which would open their horizons towards their careers on a future. Nearly 100 students from 9th and 10th Grades attended the lecture. Abid Syed, Principal of the School said that “It was very informative and interactive session conducted by the speaker. The students participated with full enthusiasm and also found the lecture to be very beneficial for them”.

Mr. Aamir Siddiqui said’ “AMP has provided me with this unique opportunity to celebrate Independence Day in the best possible manner, with the future flag bearers and shining lights of the country. Going to schools representing AMP also gave me this chance to get up close and personal with the Ummah”.

Mr. Ashif Siddiqui who took a lecture at Moreshwar Patankar Urdu School at Kurla in Mumbai. He started the lecture by giving the students a background about the historic importance of Independence Day. The students were taken through a highly interactive session and made aware of various Career options in this direction ranging from Civil Services & Administration, Defense, Judiciary & Law and Research & Development to Media & Communication. 45 enthusiastic students, along with their teaching staff and other school members attended this lecture.

AMP Rajasthan Chapter organized a special lecture for the Ranthambhore College of Nursing in Sawaimadhopur by Syed Balig Ahmed. Prof. Nusrat Fatema, Prof. Sahir Ali Zaidi Adv. Hari Prasad Yogi also addressed the program. More than 150 students who were present were very thrilled by the lecture and it had a deep impact on them giving impetus to their feelings of selfless service to the nation and its wholesome development. 

Speaking about the reaction of the attendees and the lectures impact Mr. Nashit Syed, the National Coordinator of AMP said, “There was a tremendous response from these fresh minds who seemed quite enthused, this appears to be the dawn of a new revolution on our way towards being a developed country. AMP will herald this revolution and be the catalyst of change.”

Mr. Razak Shaikh AMP Core Member said, “Probably AMP is the only organization which can work at this level in such a well-coordinated manner and the beauty lies in the spirit of team work and ideals of volunteerism strongly imbibed by each of our members across the country, which allows us to give shape to such events and activities. We may be scattered by geography but united by our ideals and spirit.”

Mr. Aamir Edresy President, AMP said, “We at AMP try to nurture Young Minds who could be the Future Leaders of our country. Our objective is to bring more and more Muslims in the different fields through which we can work for National Building like Administration, Police Force, Army, Media, Law & Judiciary and Research and Development”. He further said that “We make these Students believe that they should dream big, believe in yourself in order to move the ladder of success. It is with hardwork and dedication that Students can achieve and chase their dreams into reality. We try sensitizing them towards being a strong building block in Nation building”.

These special programs and National Campaign is coordinated by Ms. Sobiya Pawaskar from AMP Mumbai Office.
