AMP organizes the very first Mega Job Fair in Aurangabad in association with Aurangabad Police

 Aurangabad 18th November, 2017:

Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) in association with Aurangabad Police Commissionerate organized a Mega Job Fair in Aurangabad which was a huge success. This was the second Job Fair in association with the Police Department after the Job Fair with the Thane Police which was also a stupendous success. The other organizations associating were the District Employment Exchange (DSE) and F. Gheewala HR Consultants.

The event was conducted at Aurangabad Police Public School, near TV Centre at Aurangabad, Maharashtra mainly for the relatives of Police Personnel, to help them get placed in reputed mainstream Corporates but it was also attended by many other job seekers as well. This was a one of a kind event in Aurangabad since it primarily focused on providing employment opportunities to the kith and kin of the city Police personnel. Through this unique event, the organizers endeavored to give back as a humble tribute to the Police fraternity whose members have dedicated their lives for the upkeep of the peace and security of our State and its people.

45 Corporates from across various industries had participated in this Job Fair with a massive turnout of more than 1300 candidates. At the end of the day around 60 candidates were given on-the-spot offers by the recruiters while 708 were shortlisted for the next round of selection.

The Job Fair was inaugurated by Shri Yashaswi Yadav, Commissioner of Police, Aurangabad. Speaking at the occasion he said that it is very important for a policeman for the well-being of his family and the organization of such job fair is a great way to help those who have served the nation. He also appreciated and welcomed the entire team of AMP organising the job fair and the participating Corporates, mentioning that they will be getting disciplined and trained candidates under one roof. He also said, “I had the opportunity to attend and personally look around the Job Fair last in Thane and was very impressed with the way it was being organized and I am sure AMP will leave no stone unturned to make the Aurangabad Job Fair successful as well.”

Dr. Dipali Dhate-Ghatge, Deputy Commissioner of Police mentioned about the success of Thane Police Job Fair where more than 6,000 candidates had attended and around 2,000 were selected which gave them the inspiration for organizing a similar job fair in Aurangabad. She said it was over-whelming to see such a huge turnout and that too handled with great professionalism and immaculate precision. She also mentioned that they were also planning to conduct similar Job Fairs in other Districts of Maharashtra.

Mr. Razak Shaikh, Head-AMP Employment Cell, who shared the stage, stressed about India being a country of largest population of youth as compared to other countries and has tremendous potential to become the Employment Factory for the World. He also mentioned the AMP Organizing more than 15 Mega Job Fairs and hundreds of Job Drives in the last 10 years of AMP’s existence wth more than 30,000 candidates being placed during these initiatives across 80 AMP Chapters.

Aamir Edresy, President, AMP said, “AMP has repeatedly stated that the Indian Youth have a lot of potential and are very skilled, and given the right opportunity they can transform their lives for the better and significantly contribute to India’s growth story. We seek to be the bridge between them and a promising tomorrow. We firmly believe in this ideology of Empowerment. As Kofi Annan once said – There is no tool for development more effective than the empowerment of People. We resolve to conduct more such events in the future through AMP’s Employment Cell and take up many similar initiatives to serve our fellow countrymen.”

The event was a result of dedication and hard work of AMP Team Members under the guidance of Mr. Soheb Selia, AMP’s Organizing Secretary, Mr. Razak Shaikh and Mr. Iftekhar Shaikh orienting the AMP Employment Cell under which the Job Fair Project is run. The local AMP Aurangabad Team Members supported the Central Team and all the police personnel very ably managed the crowd.
