Association of Muslims Professionals (AMP) takes up another ambitious project of Job Oriented Skill Training

Association of Muslims Professionals (AMP) decided to take up the another ambitious step forward for the cause of 10^th & 12^th Passed candidates who are unable to continue their education due to financial or any other constraints and help them move ahead in their careers. Building on the Skill India initiatives of Hon. Government of India, AMP has taken up the endeavour to support such candidates by training them with Job Oriented Skills. Post completion of the training the aspirants can secure jobs and start earning their livelihood.

AMP has tied up with more than 5 Skill Training Centers across Mumbai and another 5 at National Level with proposal to get our candidates trained at their existing centers or open new centers in partnership across the country.

The very first training was initiated by AMP along with a reputed Training group sponsored by the leading Consumer Goods MNC Whirlpool located at Vikhroli, Mumbai. This will be 4 months training for Home Appliances Technician (Washing Machine, Refrigerator, AC, Water Purifier and Microwave Owens), broken up into 1 ½ months of  Classroom Training and 2 ½ month On-Job-Training (OJT) in Whirlpool. Candidates would get INR 8500/- as a Stipend during the OJT and after successful completion of training they are directly placed in Whirlpool as a Technicians.

AMP has mobilized 30+ Candidates in the last month with the help of our Chapters in Bhandup, Mumbra, Thane, Kalyan and Bhiwandi located in different parts of Mumbai. Another set of 30 Studetns have already beed shortlisted and the next batch of training will start soon.

There was good feedback from the candidates stating that they are very happy and satisfied with their training and these initiatives have been very beneficial for them.

This is a great initiative for AMP to start with and we are planning to make partnerships with various Reputed Skills Training Centres run by Government and Corporates and train our Community candidates in large numbers across the country inshaAllah!
