Association of Muslim Professionals, Pune Chapter JOB DRIVE – 18^th February 2017

Summary

Association of Muslim Professionals, Pune Chapter had organized a Job Drive in Pune on Feb 18, 2017. This program was organized in association with Dakhan Momin Jamat and PREX. This was the third time that such an event is being organized by AMP in Pune. Three different companies participated in the event to offer employment to candidates in various roles. We had few participants as opposed to an expected big number due to elections and Shiv jayanti program preparations.

The Day

The day started with the organizing team gathering up at the venue at around 9:30 AM and doing the review of arrangements. The registration forms, the interview desks, seating arrangements, drinking water, banners, standees etc. are checked. The team did a quick walkthrough of the day’s workflow. Mr.Arbaaz Momin, the coordinator of this event touched-base with the HR personnel to ensure that they do not have any issues finding the Job Drive location. The first lot of candidate showed up right after 10:00 AM while the last candidate showed up right before 04:00 PM. The candidates were provided with a quick registration form to fill up and asked to submit a copy of their resume. The volunteers at registration desk discussed with candidates their qualification and their areas of interest to advise them what all positions they can apply for. The Companies three companies namely A square Vision,Prop Trade, and Sufasoft participated in the event to fill up various positions in their organization. PREX also offered several candidates with positions open with them.

The Candidates

30 candidates turned up throughout the day. The candidates consists of a mix of both boys and girls, fresher’s and experienced ones, engineering/IT graduates and HR/finance majors. The Placements out of 30 candidates that appeared for interview 2 were successful in getting an on-spot job offer. Few others were called for further rounds later.

The Team

Though there are countless persons involved in making this event a success by working tirelessly from behind the scenes, and even a greater number of people who extended their best wishes boosting the morale of the team, following were the team involved in execution of the project on the event day.
