310 Got Spot Job Offer out of 2450 Candidates

310 Candidates got spot Job offers in a Mega Job Fair in Ahmedabad organised by AMP & WMO to commemorate 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

 

In order to commemorate the momentous occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) in association with World Memon Organisation (WMO) organized a Mega Job Fair in Ahmedabad at the aptly named Gandhi Hall, on Juhapura Road, Ahmedabad on Sat, 05th Oct, 2019, which was a huge success.

The Job Fair was conducted to help unemployed youths to get placed in reputed mainstream Corporates and to provide opportunities to the needy without any discrimination of caste and creed. Through this unique event, the organizers endeavoured to give back to the Nation what they have received by helping the youth get meaningful Jobs to support their families and thus help in Nation building.

55 Corporates from across various industries had participated in this Job Fair with a massive turnout of 2450 candidates. At the end of the day around 310 candidates were given on-the-spot offers by the recruiters while 820 were shortlisted for the next round of interviews. 

Inauguration of the Mega Job Fair took place at the hands of special guests, Shri. Kishorebhai Chauhan, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Juhapura, Ahmedabad and Mr. Ehsan Gadawala, India President of World Memon Organisation (WMO).

Mr. Shafi Mulani, WMO Ahmedabad Chapter Head, welcomed all guests and specially those delegates who came from other cities by investing their time and resources for serving the society. He thanked the donors due to whom it was possible to organise this mega Job Fair so they could fulfil their mission of serving the society without distinction of Caste and Creed. He also thanked AMP for having made this Job Fair possible by organising the Corporates and more than 8000+ vacancies for this immensely successful Job Fair.                                                                                                                                                                

Mr. Kishore Chauhan said “I am happy to see the efforts of WMO for the benefit of the Society irrespective of Caste and Community. It is in line with the Government’s motto of ‘Sabka Saath & Sabka Vikasand the initiative of creating a new Bharat.”

Mr. Ehsan Gadawala, congratulated Mr. Shafi Mulani and his young team for successfully organising this mega job fair in association with AMP to help unemployed youngsters get many job opportunities at one go. He said “I am extremely happy to inform you that WMO India has in the past one year spent lots of funds for the benefit of the society and the upliftment of the underprivileged by helping in areas such as Higher Education, Housing Assistance, Matrimonial Assistance and Jobs Assistance through these mega Job Fairs along with AMP in many different cities of India.”

Mrs. Tasneem Bai, Deputy Chairperson-WMO congratulated the Ahmedabad team for organising the Job Fair and thanked Mr. Shafi Mulani for appreciating her and giving her due credit for her role in organising this Job Fair. She mentioned that organising this Job Fair for candidates of all faiths, caste and creed was in line with Islam’s teachings which encouraged to first feed one’s neighbour if they were needy and then fulfil own need. She said this Job Fair will help youngsters get rid of depression, alcoholism, drug addiction and other anti-social behaviour they get into if they do not get decent jobs after they finish their studies.

Mr. Razak Shaikh, AMP Governing Council member & Head Projects said “AMP started off 12 years ago only with a handful of people, but through its Mission of providing a platform to professionals an opportunity to serve the society, we have reached more than 90 cities in India with about 75,000+ people connected with us. We appeal to WMO to help us conduct more such Job Fairs in various other, especially smaller cities of Gujarat and the Country”.

Mr. Soheb Selia, General Secretary-AMP said “I ‘am delighted to be present in Ahmedabad again after a year for conducting a Job Fair in association with WMO. It is AMP’s endeavour to provide opportunities for the youth of the Country so that they are gainfully employed. This Job Fair was special as it was held in the land of Mahatma Gandhi to celebrate his 150th birth anniversary and to help the Common man whom he held so dear to his heart”.

Mr. Iftekhar Bidkar, Head-AMP Employment Assistance Cell said “AMP’s objective is to help in contributing to the country’s economy by providing Jobs to youth. So far AMP has organized 40+ Job Fairs so far and about 6 with WMO in various cities of the Country. We have been able to provide jobs to 20,000+ youngsters all over India.

Mr. Imtiazuddin Shaikh, State Head of Gujarat and the moving force behind organising this Job Fair smoothly said “At AMP, we try our best to give the right opportunities to the youth through entry and middle level jobs. Once you have provided the youngsters with relevant jobs, it doesn’t take too long to transform and empower them so they too can contribute significantly to India’s growth story”.

The event was a result of dedication and hard work of AMP Team Members which included Mr. Javed Sayed, Treasurer-AMP, Mr. Jabir Choksi, Project Head AMP ACE & ex-State Head – Gujarat, Mr. Nayyar Hashmi, Baroda Chapter Head, Mr. Farhan Khan, Sr. Member of AMP’s EAC team and all the volunteers from Ahmedabad and other cities. The AMP & WMO team members and the respective volunteers managed the huge crowd very well.
