265 Candidates got spot job offers out of 1575 Candidates who attended the Job Fair organised by AMP, WMO & PHMJ in Pune
 
Pune, 13th July ’19:
 
Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) in association with World Memon Organisation (WMO) and Pune Halal Memon Jamat (PHMJ) organized a Mega Job Fair in Pune on Sat, 13th July, 2019, which was a huge success. 
 
The Job Fair was conducted at Badminton Court, Azam Campus, Pune to help unemployed youths to get placed in reputed mainstream Corporates and to provide opportunities to the needy without any discrimination of caste and creed. Through this unique event, the organizers endeavoured to give back to the Nation what they have received by helping the youth get meaningful Jobs.
 
Inauguration of the Mega Job Fair took place at the hands of Mr. Sameer Shaikh, Assistant Commissioner of Police–Crime (Pune). Mr. Shaikh was felicitated by floral bouquets and mementos by Mr. Ehsan Gadawala, India President of WMO and Mr. Imran Lakhani, President, PHMJ.
 
Mr. Sameer Shaikh said “I am happy to see that the Community is taking initiative in constructive activities for the youth of the country through this Mega Job Fair. He lauded AMP, WMO and PHMJ for their focus on youth employment which is the need of the hour”.
 
55 Corporates from across various industries had participated in this Job Fair with a massive turnout of 1575 candidates. At the end of the day around 265 candidates were given on-the-spot offers by the recruiters while 740 were shortlisted for the next round of interviews.  
 
Mr. Ehsan Gadawala, President, WMO-India, said “Organising this Job Fair is our small way of contributing for Nation Building. By helping unemployed youths get jobs, we help in Community development and thus development of the Nation. We look forward conducting more such Job Fairs in various cities in the coming days in association with AMP”.
 
Mr. Aamir Edresy, President-AMP said “I ‘am delighted to be present in Pune again after 6 months for an AMP Job Fair. It is AMP’s endeavour to provide opportunities for the youth of the Country so that they are gainfully employed. This partnership with WMO is taking us to various cities across the Country and helping us reach out to more youth”.
 
Mr. Imran Lakhani, President - PHMJ, said, “I was delighted with the overwhelming response towards the Job fair. PHMJ is very happy to associate with this noble cause which would lead towards the uplifment of the Community and Society”.
 
Mr. Iftekhar Bidkar, Head-AMP Employment Assistance Cell said “AMP’s objective is to help in contributing to the country’s economy by providing Jobs to youth. So far AMP has organized 35+ Mega Job Fairs till date and 250+ Job Drives in the last 7 years and helped placing more than 17,000+ candidates”.
 
Mr. Imtiaz Shaikh, Sr. AMP Member, Pune Chapter, “At AMP, we try our best to give the right opportunities to the youth through entry and middle level jobs. Once you have provided the youngsters with relevant jobs, it doesn’t take too long to transform and empower them so they too can contribute significantly to India’s growth story”. 
 
The event was a result of dedication and hard work of AMP, WMO & PHMJ Team Members which included Mr. Soheb Selia, Gen. Secretary-AMP, Mr. Razak Shaikh, Head-AMP Projects, Mr. Javed Sayed, Treasurer-AMP, Shabib Ahmed Shaikh & Mr. Arshad Mirza Sr. Members, Pune AMP.  Mr. Juned Roghatiya, Mr. Alam Qureshi and Mr. Salim Bandukia from WMO Team. Mr. Sajid Nathani, Mr. Azim Virani, Mr. Akhil Waiwala, Mr. Mohammed Swaleh Umrani and all the volunteers from respective Organisations. The team members and volunteers managed the crowd ably.
 
Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) is a Platform for all Muslim professionals and volunteers to share their knowledge, intellect, experience and skills for the overall development of not just the Muslim Community but also the society at large, and further empowering Muslims in the educational, social, political and economic front of life.
