30 Candidates selected & 200 shortlisted in the first ever Overseas Job Fair organized by AMP Kuwait Chapter

Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) conducted a very successful Job Fair in Salmiya Indian Model School (SIMS), Salmiya, Kuwait on Fri, 4^th May 2018. 15 Companies and Around 1000 Job seekers participated in the Job Fair. Around 200 candidates were shortlisted for different openings while around 30 candidates received on the spot Job offer from various companies.

Companies like Redtag, Twenty4, Apparel Group, Papa John's, Jashanmal, Wathif, Malabar Gold, Sahara Air Conditioning, Armada, Int'l Bridges, Arabi Enertech, Caribou Coffee, F. Gheewala HR Consultants participated in this Job Fair.

Mr. Fahad Alam, long time Kuwaiti Professional and AMP Governing Council Member and the force behind the Job Fair said “It is a proud and happy moment for Kuwait Chapter to organize AMP’s first overseas Job Fair. We have been organizing many AMP Workshops and Skill Development Lectures, however this Job Fair was the most satisfying activity for having provided options for Professionals looking for jobs and change.”

Mr. Arif Durrani, AMP Kuwait Chapter Head and Sr. Professional said “It feels that AMP has come of age, after having followed its Mission in India we are now extending it overseas for the Indian Diaspora, where Muslim as well as non-Muslim professionals are benefitting. It is an exhilarating feeling for all of us Alhamdulillah!”

Mr. Abdullah Hasan Thakur, CEO - Dhow Capital, Kuwait and AMP Patron was the main motivation for organizing the Job Fair. He was extremely happy with this Job Fair and mentioned “AMP has really come a long way from organizing its 1^st Job Fair in Mumbai in a Public Park and now having taken it overseas to Kuwait.” He said the Job Fair was organized in a very Professional ambience and served all Indian Professionals irrespective of caste and creed. He signed off by saying “We have taken another step in serving Indians globally and will replicate the AMP Job Fair in all GCC countries.”

The event was a result of dedication and hard work of AMP Kuwait Chapter Team Members under the guidance of Mr. Abdullah Hassan Thakur, Mr. Fahad Alam and Mr. Arif Durrani. Mr. Abdul Malik, Mr. Mushtaque Dalvi, Mr. Mansoor Ahmed, Mr. Salman, Mr. Sufiyan, Miss. Farzeen Rumane and Miss. Gazala were the team members who worked hard in making this Job Fair a big success.

Looking at the great success of the Job Fair and the enthusiasm of the Kuwait Chapter team members, it has been decided to repeat it again after 6 months inshaAllah!
